To support the team and develop the pilot project in Ethiopia, Green Flower Foundation is looking for an Office Coordinator for its office in Geneva.

Main responsibilities:
The incumbent will take on the operational management of the Foundation in accordance with the statutes and the framework established by the Board of Foundation and will be responsible for:
o Running the administrative and financial management, incl. accounting and budgeting of the Foundation;
o Coordinating and supporting the GFF team in Addis Ababa;
o Ensuring the strategic orientations defined by the Board;
o Overseeing the operations of the Foundation’s structures in accordance with its mission, its values and its guidelines;
o Ensuring compliance with the framework conditions (cantonal and federal standards and directives in Switzerland, as well as in Ethiopia);
o Ensuring dynamic and constructive communication with all internal and external stakeholders;

Additionally, depending on the competencies and experience of the selected candidate, the incumbent will contribute to:
o Designing a successful Fund-Raising strategy and managing it;
o Managing and developing the Foundation’s communication strategy and tools;
o Developing a network of partners active in Switzerland and abroad (experts, educational institutions, agro-companies, donors);
o Ensuring the monitoring of the quality of the projects and ensuring pedagogical coherence.

Your profile:
o Completed studies at university level or equivalent professional degree, with a focus on administration, economy, development, international relations, or similar;
o Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in office management and/or project management, including administrative, financial and budgetary matters, ideally in the not-for-profit sector;
o Ability to use IT tools and to manage contents on social media platforms;

Good understanding or strong interest in most of the following areas:
– Dual education system;
– Entrepreneurship;
– Sustainable Development, notably in agronomy;
– Ethiopia.

– English (fluent / excellent written and oral);
– French (fluent);
– German would be a plus;
– Amharic a plus.

Personal skills:
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
o Multicultural sensitivity;
o Pragmatic and proactive attitude;
o Strong team spirit, but able to work autonomously.

Practical aspects:
o The position is based in Geneva and the incumbent must have a valid working permit;
o Capacity and willingness for occasional short missions to Ethiopia, as well as day trips within Switzerland;
o Start date for the position is as soon as possible.
