This part is reviewing the different human activities that took place in the Białowieża forest in the past, the ones remaining today, its nature and its impact.
It is obvious that men were interfering in the forest since a long time. Białowieża is thus no longer a primal forest. No such forest exists in fact any more worlwide. Building isolated facilities for tzars was one of the activities. There were also some massive logging during conflictual situations. Nevertheless, its natural character could have been preserved.
