Do you deliver concrete  impact ?  Could your work benefit more people if you had the resources ?  Do you want to scale your impact on a broader scale?

OpenTeam brings you the support you need to meet remote international entrepreneurs willing to implement your knowledge in their local regions, thus fostering your scale up process. OpenTeam also helps you  to share and acquire new knowledge and bring you the means of knowledge transfer.

The ScaleCamp represents the opportunity for you to meet all those stakeholders in one physical space, with the final aim to work on your project structure and financials, grow in bankability and present your scale-up program to a coalition of international funders.

Objectives

Time for action! Are you ready to scale your impact during the COP22 ?

The ScaleCamp is designed to help project holders with a positive social, environmental and/or economic impact, to scale their impact through collaboration!

Through a 6 day program of workshops, project holders will :

  • Access the tailored expertise they need to scale-up
  • Create alliances amongst each other to reinforce their mutual development
  • Increase the bankability of their project if need be
  • Increase the bankability of a collaborative project that would emerge from an alliance
  • Get ready to meet investors who share their values, think long-term, and acknowledge the return on impact, not just on investment.

To participate, candidates must have in common the will to :

  • Mutualize their knowledge and best practices
  • Share their innovations and ideas
  • Scale the local and demontrasted impact of their project to the greatest number of citizens
  • … leave any ego behind

The Approach / What will happen concretely?

The ScaleCamp is organized by OpenTeam, a social enterprise who’s mission is to support impactful projects in their scale-up to deliver greater impact to the billions of individuals in need.

The program is built as a tool to gather impactful project holders that have meaningful interactions to develop amongst each other. While networking, you probably remember stumbling inadvertently upon a fantastic project holder or potential partner? We are creating the conditions for you to gather such fantastic people.

How do we enable this?

  • Step 1: The application process asks you a series of questions, to better understand where you stand, what issues you are facing to scale-up and what expertise you need.
  • Step 2: Based on the application results, we select relevant experts who will help you tackle your scale-up challenges. We select other project holders to increase the complementarities in between impactful projects, and with projects with lower impact reached to benefit from the experience of the impactful ones.
  • Step 3: During the ScaleCamp, we give you adequate support to scaling-up the impact of your project, and more easily access climate finance, one of the major focuses of the COP22. You join a collaborative dynamic, aiming at connecting people, knowledge and skills in order to catalyse greater and faster impact. We will present a new digital tool that we have developed, to help participants further develop collaborations opportunities.

And afterwards? The ScaleCamp does not stop after the COP22: our aim is to build a collaborative support ecosystem to enable you to pursue your scale-up following the COP22, on the long run!

Terms of participation / Selection criteria

OpenTeam creates bridges in between the project holders.

Our main selection criteria will be based on complementarities in between projects. So please be aware that when applying, your project may not be selected, not because of its quality, but because of its potential for linking to the other projects. This is why during the application process, it is important that you take the time to share with us your issues, needs and expertise. And the earlier you apply, the better.

Secondly, we will favor project holders who intend to deeply engage during the full 6 days.

Please also note that more ScaleCamps will be organized in the future and that more opportunities will come for you to be selected and participate.

Full list of selection criteria:

  • Your open and sharing mindset
  • Your time taken to share the problems you face and the support you need
  • Your commitment to engage during the full 6 days
